The audience was addressed by Irina Pilvere, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Social Development (ESAF), who said: "Today is a celebration for our faculty—this graduation and the past academic year are special, as 181 students are joining the ranks of alumni. I sincerely thank our teaching staff for their selfless work—for the knowledge you have shared and the inspiration you have provided. Thank you, dear graduates, for your willpower, perseverance, and determination to complete this journey. Our faculty also marks another important milestone—21 graduates have been awarded diplomas of excellence. This is a testament not only to knowledge but also to persistent effort and high aspirations. While others chose to live in illusions, you built your path—step by step, with a clear direction, shaping your lives, careers, and success. How long did it take to turn the dream of higher education into this moment? For some, it was two years, for others—three or four, or maybe even more. But the most important thing is that you used this time meaningfully—today’s diploma proves that. I believe this is just a new beginning—a new milestone in your lives. The degree you’ve earned will be a powerful ally as you pursue your next goals and achievements. Continue forward with patience and confidence. Build your lives and careers with the same determination you have shown here. Remember—we at your faculty and university will always be happy to welcome you back. Just as we will always celebrate your achievements, no matter where life takes you. Don’t forget—time’s true value is not measured in minutes or hours. It is determined by you. Good luck to you all!"

Today we have gathered to celebrate a special occasion—the graduation of the Faculty of Economics and Social Development at the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies. It is a moment we have awaited with joy, pride, and emotion. This year, over 700 students are graduating from our university, and each diploma is a testament to perseverance, dedication, and hard work. Dear graduates, your path to this moment has not been easy—you have faced challenges, sleepless nights, exam stress, and self-doubt. Surely, many of you have asked yourselves: "Can I do this?".  And today, the answer is clear—you are here! You did it. This proves that knowledge, determination, and resilience pay off. Being an economist isn’t just about numbers, charts, and graphs. It’s about the ability to think analytically and critically, to understand social processes, to make informed decisions, and to influence society—both today and in the future. You are prepared not only for the labor market but also to drive change. We believe that you, today’s graduates, will be the ones to create new ideas, build responsible businesses, strengthen communities, and stand for values that matter to us all. Thanks also go to your families, friends, and supporters—for their encouragement, patience, and unwavering support. Without you, this journey would have been much harder. And finally—be grateful for the courage to start, the strength to continue, and the persistence to reach this goal. We are truly proud of you!”
