On April 24, the 21st international scientific conference "Students on their Way to Science" will take place on the Zoom platform. The conference will bring together students from Latvia and other countries, including universities from the ChallengeEU alliance. Participants will include bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral students who will present their research, share ideas, establish international academic contacts, and gain their first experience participating in an international conference.

The aim of the conference is to promote scientific research and foster intercultural communication skills. As the working language of the conference is English, developing foreign language skills is a key benefit for participants. For some students, it is also an opportunity to test the results of their bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral research and gain knowledge about research in their field in other countries.

Speakers at the conference will highlight key developments in areas such as: agriculture (crop production, horticulture, animal science), veterinary medicine, food science, engineering (mechanical, electrical, agricultural engineering, etc.), information technology, construction and wood processing, forestry, geoinformatics and remote sensing, land management and geodesy, environment and water management, social sciences (economics, management and administration, sociology), and intercultural communication.

Detailed information about the conference is available on the website: https://www.sws.lbtu.lv/.
