International Erasmus+ Week to Take Place at LBTU
From May 11 to May 15, Jelgava will host an International Erasmus+ Week, bringing together representatives from partner universities of the Latvian University of Life Sciences and Technologies (LBTU) from various countries, including participants from the ChallengeEU alliance. The event is organized by the LBTU Faculty of Economics and Social Development and will provide a platform for academic collaboration, exchange of experience, and building new connections in an international environment.
During the International Week, lecturers and partners from foreign universities will participate in guest lectures, academic sessions, discussions, and workshops addressing current topics in education and research. The program is designed to promote both professional collaboration and mutual networking, thereby strengthening LBTU’s international partnership network.
The first day will be dedicated to participants’ arrival and introductory activities, including meetings with the program participants and a presentation of the week’s agenda. In the following days, guest lectures and academic discussions will take place, as well as a special event - International Market, where students and representatives of partner institutions will present their countries, cultures, study opportunities, and cooperation initiatives.
The program also includes a day dedicated to academic exchange with lectures and workshops, as well as a cultural program that will allow international guests to explore Latvia’s cultural heritage and the city of Jelgava. The week will conclude with networking activities and discussions on future cooperation, creating new opportunities for joint projects and student and staff mobility.
