The tourism industry and hospitality sector are among the most important drivers of the global economy – they create jobs, promote entrepreneurship, and strengthen economic growth. It is also one of the fastest-growing fields, offering a wide range of career opportunities – from hotel management to the restaurant business.

To share best practice examples, students enrolled in bachelor’s and master’s study programmes whose studies and research are related to tourism or the hospitality sector are invited to participate in the conference "International Scientific Student Conference for Tourism and Hospitality", which will take place online on May 15. The conference is organized by the academic staff of the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Technology (LPTF) of the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies (LBTU).

The aim of the conference is to promote student research by providing a platform for the exchange of ideas, presentation of experiences, and discussions on current issues in the industry.

Students’ papers and presentations are to be prepared based on research conducted during their studies, including data from course research projects, bachelor’s or master’s theses. Research may be carried out individually or in groups.

Participants are invited to register by May 10 by completing the application form.

For questions or additional information, please contact the conference organizer and lecturer Marta Eglīte via email: marta.eglite@lbtu.lv
