Bulduri Technical School

Bulduri Technical School is a vocational education institution where students take their first steps toward a professional career. As a subsidiary of the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies (LBTU), the school offers students a strong foundation for further academic studies. Bulduri Technical School offers a broad range of programs in horticulture, landscape construction, floristry, catering, hospitality, continuing education, and lifelong learning. A special emphasis is placed on science and technology, which are seamlessly integrated into both the theoretical and practical aspects of the learning process. All study programs are united under the concept: from garden to table.

Innovations in Horticulture: Latvia’s Smart Garden and Biotechnology Centre

A key highlight of the school’s initiatives is the "Latvian i-Garden" – the first and currently the only smart garden in Latvia. Developed as an educational and research project in collaboration with students and teachers, the garden features automated irrigation, lighting, and a data collection system that tracks plant growth and development. It serves as both a teaching tool and a pioneering step toward digitally managed, sustainable horticulture in Latvia.

Bulduri Biotechnology Centre is a scientific research unit comprising laboratories focused on climate-controlled agriculture, agrochemistry, plant tissue culture, and molecular biology.
