GENERAL INFORMATION

Linnaeus Eco-Tech has been an academic tradition at Linnaeus University in Kalmar, Sweden, every second year since 1997. One of the conference’s key objective is to encourage research and education collaboration among Baltic Sea region countries in order to achieve long-term sustainability. Environmental challenges have become increasingly visible as they have progressed from a local to a regional to a global concern. The 15th Annual International Scientific Conference EcoTech 2025 will be taking place in Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies (Jelgava, Latvia) from November 19–21, 2025.

It is with great delight that we welcome you to the 15th Annual International Scientific Conference "EcoTech 2025" here at the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies. We believe that the conference will offer an excellent opportunity to exchange information and to discuss state-of-the-art trends between experienced and new researchers.

TOPICS 

It is proposed to invite contributions in Knowledge-Intensive Bioeconomy research fields:

DEADLINES 

Submitting of the application form and the summary - September 15, 2025

Decision of the Program committee of the inclusion in the Conference program, the 2nd announcement - September 20, 2025

Submitting of the articles - October 30, 2025. 

Decision of the Programme committee of the acceptance for publication of the articles - November 1, 2025. 

Early transfer of the participation fee – after positive reviews and acceptance for publication. 

The 2nd announcement will include details for the preparation of articles, information on transfer of the participation fee and the social tour, which will be arranged on the second day of the conference. 

PARTICIPATION FEE 

Both on-site and on-line participation fee for one person is 350 EUR, which includes publication of one article in the conference proceedings. Participation fee for accompanying person on-site is 100 EUR. Publication of one article without presentation costs 175 EUR.

Publication fee for participation and publication of one article for Ukrainian scientists is 100 EUR (if all authors from Ukraine). 

The fee includes publication by up to 4 authors and up to 6 pages. Each additional page costs 50 EUR. Publications by larger author collectives cost additional 50 EUR per author. 

Registration fee should be transferred no later than 5 days after acceptance of publication, but no later than on November 12.

PUBLISHING OF REPORTS

The papers will be pre-reviewed and published IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science (EES) is an Open Access proceedings journal. Indexed Elsevier SCOPUS, Clarivate Analytics, Web of Science.

The organizers will not accept any liability for personal injuries, not for loss of or damage to personal belongings. Please check the validity of your personal insurance. 

VENUE 

The conference will be held at the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies, Faculty of Forest and Environmental Sciences, Akademijas str. 11, Jelgava, LV-3001, Latvia. 

TRANSPORT 

Jelgava is located 40 km from Riga. You can travel to Jelgava (from Riga) easily by train or bus. For information about departure times and connections, see Latvian Railway (www.pv.lv) or Riga International Coach Terminal (www.autoosta.lv). City can also be reached by car. Taxi and car rental services are available in Riga and Jelgava.

HOTEL RESERVATION 

Conference participants are responsible for making their individual reservations. Accommodation can be booked in Jelgava at 3-star Hotel Jelgava (www.hoteljelgava.lv) a 5 minutes walking distance to the Faculty of Forest and Environmental Sciences or Hotel Zemgale (www.zemgale.info) a 15 minutes walking to the faculty. LETTER OF INVITATION 

Upon request, the Conference office will send a personal invitation to participate in the conference. This invitation is meant to help the participants raise travel funds or obtain a visa, and does not represent a commitment on the part of organizers to provide any financial support.

REGULATIONS 

Plenary Session Presentation – 15 minutes, Session Presentation – 10 minutes, Discussions – 5 minutes, Poster presentation – 3 minutes. 

LANGUAGES - English 

The sessions rooms will be equipped with video (computer) projection. The computers will be equipped with Windows and MS Office Professional in English.

Exclusion of Russian Federation and Belarus from collaboration with LBTU. The war of Russian Federation against Ukraine and threatening of many other countries, as well as supportive actions of the war by Republic of Belarus are unacceptable by international democratic communities. Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies has terminated collaboration with any Russian and Belarussian institutions and their academic and scientific staff.
