As a result of the project implementation, innovative solutions will be created throughout the production cycle of fruit and aromatic plants – from propagation to processing of the final product. - At least two in vitro propagation protocols will be developed using short-term immersion bioreactors, which will shorten the propagation cycle by several months and ensure homogeneous planting material. - At least two multi-storey climate-controlled cultivation systems will be tested and approved in practice during the seedling cultivation stage, which will allow shortening the cultivation cycle and developing guidelines for process automation in small and medium-sized farms. - In parallel, polymer “tattoo” bio-alternating current resistance sensors will be integrated, which for the first time in Latvia will provide accurate monitoring of the physiological state and stress of plants both in the field and in climate-controlled conditions. - At the production and processing stage, biochemical analysis and correlation with sensor data will be performed, solutions will be developed for reducing juice and syrup sediment and improving fermentation processes, as well as recommendations for the application of technologies will be prepared. - The practical result will also be provided by established plantations and phenotypic analysis, obtaining a data set on the durability of young plants and the persistence of decorative properties. Project planned results: - New technology developed - For in vitro propagation in bioreactors. - Methodologies developed - practical manuals intended for: improving individual technological stages (in vitro propagation, aeroponic rooting, vertical cultivation, use of sensors, processing processes), for the integrated improvement of the entire production cycle (from seedling to final product).
