International Scientific Conference "EcoTech 2025" at LBTU in Jelgava
From November 19 to 21, the 15th International Scientific Conference “EcoTech 2025” will be organized at the Faculty of Forest and Environmental Sciences of the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies (LBTU), located at Akademijas Street 11.
For the first time, the conference will be held on a full scale in Jelgava. The event will bring together scientists, students, entrepreneurs, and environmental policy experts from more than ten countries to discuss sustainable development solutions and the latest research in environmental engineering and green technologies.
The "EcoTech" conference is an academic tradition that began in year 1997 at Linnaeus University in Kalmar, Sweden, and since then has gathered researchers from the Baltic Sea region every two years. One of the main missions of the conference is to strengthen international cooperation in education and research, contributing to the development of a sustainable and secure future.
This year's conference in Jelgava will cover a wide range of topics, including:

Forestry, Biodiversity, and Conservation
Energy and Climate Neutrality
Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, and Green Technology
Soil and Water Quality,
Urban Environment and Infrastructure Development
Security in Society

Project Session “Innovations of Water and Nutrient Resilience
Conference Chairperson, Professor Inga Grīnfelde emphasizes:
"The EcoTech conference is an important platform for environmental researchers and young scientists, providing an opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas on pressing issues related to climate, resources, and technology. This year's event in Jelgava will be a special opportunity to highlight Latvia's scientific achievements and to strengthen international cooperation."
Participants will include representatives from Latvia, Sweden - including Mid Sweden University, which cooperates with LBTU in the joint alliance "ChallengeEU" - as well as from Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Brazil, Iran, Turkey, Costa Rica, and other countries.
All accepted abstracts will be published in the Conference Abstract Book (with ISBN). Authors of selected full papers will be invited to submit their manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed conference proceedings that will be indexed in Scopus.
