Erasmus+ Studies
When choosing the foreign university, you must considered whether the courses offered will match the requirements outlined by LBTU and the language of instruction.
To participate in Erasmus+ you must be
- a Latvian citizen, a permanent resident or a full-time student possessing a permanent residence permit
- you have successfully finished and passed all courses for at least a semester in LBTU
- your language skills are adequate (at least B1 or B2 in the CEFR system) to study in the foreign university
- you do not have any unfulfilled academic requirements or financial obligations to LBTU
Application documents
These can vary, but as a general rule you must submit:
- Application form
- Learning Agreement: Student Mobility for Studies. The students fills in the Before the Mobility section, signs and submits for the approval of their programme director and coordinator in the foreign university
- Transcript of Records
- other documents e.g. application for accommodation, European health insurance card, letter of motivation, language certificates etc.
To be considered for studies abroad, please fill the ''Application form'' and deliver it to the International Cooperation centre (room 195 in Jelgava palace) until April 1 to qualify for the next autumn semester or October 1 to go abroad during the spring semester.
After returning from the studies
- the student must submit an online report (will be sent automatically to the student's e-mail a day after the final day of the Erasmus+ period )
- a certificate/ confirmation letter from the exchange university of the beginning and end date of the programme. The student MUST request this document and it is obligatory to submit it to LBTU afterwards.
