Council of Counsellors

The purpose is to promote the development of the Latvian University of Life Sciences and Technology in accordance with the needs and interests of Latvia.
The Council of Counsellors is elected from among socially recognized leading employees or prominent scientists who are interested in the development of rural Latvia and LBTU.
The Council of Counsellors advises on the development of the LBTU development strategy, as well as advises on LBTU development issues, supports the creation of LBTU material and financial resources.
Members of the Council of Counsellors are approved for a period of 3 years by a joint decision of the LBTU Council and Senate, upon the proposal of the Rector, in accordance with the Law on Higher Education Institutions.
The Council of Counsellors consists of members of the Council of Advisors, as well as Honorary Members, who have advisory rights.
