Scientific Institute of Plant Protection "Agrihorts"
Scientific Institute of Plant Protection "Agrihorts" is a structural unit of the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies. The institute was established in January 2019, taking over the scientific functions of the former Latvian Plant Protection Research Centre. Building on many years of experience, Agrihorts continues to conduct both scientific and applied research in the field of plant protection.
The institute's staff includes experienced specialists who focus on research within state-funded projects, participate in international scientific collaborations, and actively cooperate with farmers to find effective solutions for controlling harmful organisms in various crops. Research at Agrihorts emphasizes the role of beneficial organisms in agriculture, the development of new plant protection technologies, and studies on resistance and residues of plant protection products.
