Success stories
LBTU, in cooperation with JSC "Roga Agro" and LTD "KRONIS", has developed and implemented a new offer of dry food rations — MREs (Meals Ready-to-Eat) featuring dual implementation. This dual approach enables the rations to serve both as durable dry food requiring rehydration and as fully ready-to-eat meals, suitable for various operational and emergency contexts. The innovation ensures flexibility, extended shelf life, and convenience for end-users across military and civilian sectors.

Laser Weeding Technology
In the cooperation project “Development of a robotic weed management equipment (RONIN)” company WeedBot has successfully developed a tractor towed laser weeding machine LUMINA. The project was carried out by LBTU Plant Protection Research Centre “Agrihorts” and multiple project partners, one of the tasks was evaluation of the potential to use lasers in weed control. During the project it was successfully demonstrated that laser treatment can be used as an effective weed control technology. Several researchers from LBTU have set up a start-up company to develop commercial tractor towed laser weeder. Multiple scientific publications have been published about project activities. An autonomous robotic laser weeding prototype has been developed and tested in field conditions.

Primekss
In an ongoing joint research project between LBTU and Primekss Ltd., a new solution for heavily loaded industrial floors on piles – Self-Stressing Fibre Reinforced Concrete – has been developed and is currently being verified. The patented solution is already in use, enhancing the efficiency of industrial floors and reducing their environmental impact.

UPB
LBTU has collaborated with UPB JSC on multiple research projects focused on advanced construction materials and structural systems. This partnership has led to tangible improvements in several of the company's products, including Ultra High Performance Fibre Reinforced Concrete structural elements and prestressed hollow core slabs.
