LBTU Development Foundation
LBTU Development Foundation is an organization that supports students, faculty, and outstanding researchers through scholarship programs funded by donations. It was established by the LBTU Senate on June 11, 2008.
The foundation was officially registered in Latvia’s Register of Enterprises on October 28, 2008. Later, on June 26, 2009, the Latvian Ministry of Finance recognized the foundation as a public benefit organization (Decision No. 157), allowing it to carry out activities that serve the public benefit. With this designation, the foundation actively promotes public benefit initiatives in the fields of education and science.
As a public benefit organization, the LBTU Development Foundation qualifies for tax exemptions under Latvian law, which it successfully uses to help fund its scholarship programs.
