The Institute of Mathematics and Informatics (IMI-BAS) is the foremost Bulgarian research institute for Mathematics and Computer Science.

Since 2019 it also established International Center for Mathematical Sciences - dynamic international research unit for developing and dissemination of cutting-edge new directions in Mathematics. Currently IMI-BAS has three active MSCA projects (including one doctoral network) plus a separate national-funded project-based interdisciplinary PhD program.

The institute is looking to partner in the development of a doctoral network focused on mathematics or computer science. Of specific interest are fields such as mathematical foundations of computer science, coding theory, modern cryptographic primitives, theoretical foundations of AI, tropical geometries, cluster algebras and related.
