Apraksts LV: TPS-3 ir ierīce, kas izmanto pārejas plaknes avota (TPS) metodi cietvielu, pastu un pulveru siltumvadītspējas, siltumdifūzijas un īpatnējā siltuma pārbaudei. TPS-3 ietver standarta TPS sensoru un Thermtest programmatūru lietošanai kopā ar Keithley 2401 Source Meter®. Teorija pieņem, ka sensors ir ievietots bezgalīgā, homogēnā vidē, ko var panākt, ievietojot sensoru starp diviem identiskiem paraugiem ar pietiekami lieliem izmēriem. Siltumu sensors ģenerē, izmantojot Džoula sildīšanas procesu. Pēc tam laika gaitā tiek reģistrēta sensora vidējā temperatūra, no kuras var iegūt parauga termiskās īpašības.

Apraksts EN: The TPS-3 is device that makes use of the transient plane source (TPS) method for testing thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity and specific heat of solids, pastes and powders. The TPS-3 includes the standard TPS Sensor and Thermtest’s software for use in combination with the Keithley 2401 Source Meter®. The theory assumes that the sensor is placed in an infinite, homogeneous medium, which can be achieved by sandwiching the sensor in between two identical samples with large enough dimensions. Heat is generated by the sensor via a Joule heating process. The average temperature of the sensor is then recorded over time from which the thermal properties of the sample can be obtained.
