 Course Introduction

Tourism is evolving, with travellers increasingly seeking meaningful and immersive experiences that connect them to local cultures, natural landscapes, and sustainable practices. This course, "Redefining Experiential Tourism through Innovation and Sustainability," explores how innovative solutions and a commitment to sustainability can transform the tourism industry. By integrating cutting-edge technology, eco-friendly practices, and community-driven approaches, this course provides a framework for reshaping tourism to benefit visitors, local communities, and the environment.

Virtual Learning: Participants complete online modules, discussions, and activities to explore key topics and collaborate digitally.

Physical Mobility: A short in-person experience with workshops, seminars, and practical activities, fostering hands-on learning and cross-cultural exchange

The Blended Intensive Program (BIP) is conducted in English to ensure inclusivity, accessibility, and effective communication for participants from diverse backgrounds.

Students commit 75–90 hours to virtual and in-person activities, enhancing skills in a specific field while fostering cross-border collaboration and knowledge sharing.

  1. Visit SIA Līcīši Ltd for a goat milk processing workshop, including tastings of goat milk and cheeses
  2. Tour of Z/S Trubenieki, a local farm specializing in Shiitake mushroom production
  3. Tour to Tērvete – exploring nature and innovations
